Hello, and thank you for stopping by to support Skegness Football Funds.
The event takes place each year and is a charity football game between Skegness Town Legends Squad and my team of Skegness Town All-Stars. This year the All Star team won by 4 goals to 3 and the legends lads were not happy !! There's entertainment all day with stalls and raffles etc.
But the event is about so much more.
I lost my mum through cancer and it is an illness that affects so many people. Each and every month of every year, Skegness Football Funds will seek to raise money for Cancer Charities. But we will also be trying to promote all cancer charities and educate people into the symptoms and support groups/treatment out there.
If we help one person then we have succeeded.
Soon the website will be available and from this you will be able to get all the information you need and be able to donate funds and get useful and potentially life saving cancer information.
We are working on a naked calendar for 2011 !!!!
So far we have raised over £1200 for the Butterfly Hospice. A crucial hospice nearby for terminally ill cancer patients.
